Play Atlantic student-athlete Trixie Croad has been selected to represent New Zealand at the Gallipoli Games this April. The games will include 10 sports, with teams from 7 countries fielding a team of student age group athletes in each code.
Trixie Croad is a graduate of Orewa College in Auckland and has been on a tennis scholarship at the University of Hawaii at Hilo since 2013. Trixie played under Coach Caco Zenella and was a regional team member curing her school years. During her junior she played club for Whangaparaoa Tennis Club, the Browns Bay Chelsea Cup team and the Glendowie Caro Bowl team.
Tennis New Zealand have selected a six person team compete at the event, which is coach captained by Dwayne Cleugh. The team will compete from 23 to 29 April in Gelibolu, Canikkale and Instanbul in Turkey, with the competition fully funded by the Turkish University Sports Federation in honour of the 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign.
