What is a GPA?

The Grade Point Average (GPA) is the measure colleges use on a students high school grades (16 core course subjects for Div.1), usually since their freshman year, on a 4.0 scale.  It helps calculate and give a numerical figure to every students grades regardless of what country they are from.   Calculating a students GPA is different for every country, some being much harder than others but most countries education authorities should be able to help you with this process.
